SWB Plus is one of Asia Pacific’s leading engineering service providers specialising in machining, rotating equipment overhaul, gear manufacturing, hydraulics and field services for heavy industry.
Over the past two decades, SWB Plus has grown into an international engineering network with nine specialised workshops across Australia and a team of more than 100 engineers, machinists, mechanical fitters and technical specialists. Our facilities support mining, rail, utilities, manufacturing and heavy industrial sectors where reliability and precision are critical.
Today, SWB Plus delivers large-scale refurbishment, manufacturing and field service capability across the country, supporting some of Asia Pacific’s most demanding industrial operations.
Our Story
SWB Plus has evolved from a small specialist engineering operation into a national provider of machining and rotating equipment services. As industry demand grew, so did our capability.
Through investment in people, facilities and advanced machining equipment, we have expanded to nine engineering workshops strategically located across Australia, each designed to support large industrial assets and critical infrastructure.
Our workshops include heavy machining capability, gear manufacturing, pump refurbishment, hydraulic repair and specialised testing facilities. This network allows us to support clients locally while delivering the scale and expertise of a national engineering provider.
Investing in Skilled Trades and Future Engineers
Engineering capability is built on people. SWB Plus actively invests in developing skilled trades through a strong apprenticeship program across our workshops.
Our team includes experienced machinists, mechanical fitters, engineers and technical specialists who bring decades of hands-on industry knowledge to every project. Many of our senior tradespeople began their careers as apprentices within the business and now mentor the next generation of engineers.
We continue to train and support apprentices across multiple disciplines including machining, fitting and mechanical engineering, ensuring the long-term sustainability of Australia's industrial skills base.

SWB Plus operates within the Statewide Bearings Group, a wholly Australian owned business with more than 50 years of industry experience.
From its beginnings in 1974 with a single staff member, Statewide Bearings has grown to more than 46 branches nationwide and close to 500 employees, supporting industrial operations across the Asia Pacific region.
Being part of this network provides SWB Plus with strong supply chain relationships, technical resources and access to global manufacturers while maintaining the responsiveness and flexibility of a specialist engineering business.
